The Villa
The Villa at Fort Bennett is one of the newest in beautiful Black Rock, Tobago, ideally situated between Grafton Beach and Turtle Beach. It was completely renovated in 2011 to accommodate 6 guests and features three en suite rooms, one of them with a private kitchenette.  

Guests can enjoy a dip in the balcony’s plunge pool while enjoying a panoramic view of Grafton Beach in the Great Courland Bay area. There is also private access to a secluded beach in front of the villa. Amenities include a fully equipment kitchen, barbecue pit, washer and dryer, dishwasher, television and stereo system, parking for up to three cars, a maid service and linens for each room.

Grafton Beach is only a ten-minute walk from the villa and the airport is just a 20-minute drive, making the location perfect for a quick weekend getaway or an extended stay. Horseback riding is available on Grafton Beach, which is also home to Island Girl, one of Tobago’s exclusive catamaran charters.
Fort Bennett Tobago Villa
Fort Bennett is located in Black Rock, Tobago, overlooking Grafton Beach. The Fort was built by the Dutch between1628 and 1636.This fort has an interesting history, having been fought over by many nations. The Courlanders refortified it in the 1680’s in order to protect their settlement in the Great Courland Bay area.

In the 1800’s, the British gained ownership of Fort Bennett and refortified it again. It is believed by archaeologists that the remnant walls can be found beneath the surface of this fort which signifies the numerous times reconstruction took place because of the battles fought there.
